Dear Developing Mindful Habits Participant,

I am excited that you have chosen to join me for 4 weeks of mindfulness-based professional development! It has been a joy to develop this course over the last year, and I'm looking forward to sharing it with you.

The course includes webinar trainings, mini guides to walk you through the habits, along with journaling and mindfulness exercises that you can practice during and after the course. It is a thorough course that will give you the tools to be more mindful, focused, and balanced at work. 

Please add the following dates to your calendar:

All sessions will start at 8pm Eastern and will be 90 minutes in length, including Q&A. The habits you'll learn here will transform the way you approach work and life.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What do I need to participate?

All you need is a computer and headphones to join the webinar. The video on your end will be turned off so you can be in your PJs if you like. There will also be a toll-free number provided in case you'd like to use your phone to dial in.

I would recommend having paper & pen nearby if you'd like to take notes. Other than that, just your full attention is needed!

Do I need to be in a quiet space?

It would help. I will lead mindfulness meditation practices during each session, and if you're new to meditation, it will be good to be in a quiet space. I also recommend silencing phones and other notifications during the session. 

Is participation required?

No, but it is highly recommended. Asking questions, especially in the context of your own life, makes the material easier to apply. There will be Q&A sprinkled throughout the session, as well as at the end. You can always email me afterwards too.

Do I have to attend all 4 sessions?

Yes, especially since the course is set in a particular sequence to maximize your learning and habit development. If you miss a session, you can watch the download of the audio/video to catch up. 

Course Curriculum

This professional development course follows a specific sequence to help you develop habits that will last. All four sessions are necessary and part of an integrated curriculum in developing a more mindful approach to your work and life.

Session 1: January 12

RESILIENCE
In the first session, we'll look at mental and emotional reactions to negative events and learn to bounce back quickly. We'll seek to answer the following questions:
  • How do you respond to difficult situations that throw you off balance? ​
  • How can you recover from mistakes and failures and keep going?
You will learn the principles and practices for developing healthy habits of resilience that will make you more effective and improve your wellbeing.

Session 2: January 19

SELF-AWARENESS
In the second session, we'll learn where we are directing our attention and what's throwing us off-balance. High-intensity jobs require focus AND sustained performance. We'll seek to answer the following questions:
  • How do you find your on switch and off switch to maintain peak performance?
  • How do you work successfully under high-pressure deadlines? 
We will discuss skills that will enable you to be more focused AND balanced. You'll improve your attention in the moment and learn to maintain a confident sense of calm.

Session 3: January 26

PRODUCTIVITY
In the third session, we'll dive into what motivates you and what holds you back from being productive. We'll seek to answer the following questions:
  • How do you handle more work while maintaining your sanity and focus?
  • How do you define productivity? And how does that definition affect your effectiveness?
Using powerful meditation tools, psychological hacks, and neural triggers, we will explore and train you to use the skills that will enable you to be more focused and balanced.

Session 4: February 2

CREATIVITY
In the final session, we'll explore what mental and environmental cues boost your creativity levels. We'll see to answer the following questions:
  • How can you think outside of the box when you’re in it?
  • What practices and routines activate a creative mindset?
We will challenge the tired old ways of approaching our work and you will leave this session energized and motivated to think differently and creatively about what’s in front of you.
